Sunday Sermon: Arm of The Lord

Arm of The Lord

Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him. He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
— Isaiah 53:1-3 (NIV)
But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed[a] limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
— Genesis 49:24 (NIV)
who sent his glorious arm of power to be at Moses’ right hand, who divided the waters before them, to gain for himself everlasting renown,
— Isaiah 63:12 (NIV)
My hand will sustain him; surely my arm will strengthen him.
— Psalm 89:21 (NIV)
