English Sermon: A Chosen Vessel

A Chosen Vessel

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

Acts 9:13-16

Sunday Sermon: Our Residence Is God’s Campsite

Our Residence Is God’s Campsite

“This month shall be your beginning of months; it shall be the first month of the year to you.

-Exodus 12:2

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. Now Moses wrote down the starting points of their journeys at the command of the Lord. And these are their journeys according to their starting points:

They departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the day after the Passover the children of Israel went out with boldness in the sight of all the Egyptians. For the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had killed among them. Also on their gods the Lord had executed judgments.

-Numbers 33:1-4

English Sermon: Are you Kicking against the Goads

Are you Kicking against the Goads

And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”

Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”

Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
— Acts 9:5-6 (NKJV)

Sunday Sermon: Christ Jesus And The Day of Atonement

Christ Jesus And The Day of Atonement

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
— John 1:29
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
— John 1:36

The Day of Atonement

The Lord said to Moses, “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present a food offering to the Lord. Do not do any work on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people. I will destroy from among their people anyone who does any work on that day. You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live. It is a day of sabbath rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”
