Sunday Sermon: House of the Lord

House of the Lord

1. I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

2. Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.

3. Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.

4. That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.

5. There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.

6. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.

7. May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
8. For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”

9. For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.
— Psalm 122 (NIV)

Sunday Sermon: I Will Build My Church

I Will Build My Church

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
— Ephesians 1:3-10 (NIV)

5. No More Sickness

On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. he glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
