Sunday Sermon: Responsibilities of a Watchman

Responsibilities of a Watchman

  1. Proclaim the Time

  2. Watch the City

  3. Proclaim God's word

This is God’s message to Edom:

Someone from among you keeps calling, calling to me: “Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night? How much time is left?” The watchman replies, “Your judgment day is dawning now. Turn again to God, so that I can give you better news. Seek for him, then come and ask again!
— Isaiah 21:11-12 (TLB)
O Jerusalem, I have set intercessors on your walls who shall cry to God all day and all night for the fulfillment of his promises. Take no rest, all you who pray, and give God no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her respected and admired throughout the earth.
— Isaiah 62:6-7

When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?
— Luke 7:42 (ESV)
Who is this who comes from Edom,
in crimsoned garments from Bozrah,
he who is splendid in his apparel,
marching in the greatness of his strength?
“It is I, speaking in righteousness,
mighty to save.”

Why is your apparel red,
and your garments like his who treads in the winepress?

“I have trodden the winepress alone,
and from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
— Isaiah 63:1-3 (ESV)

Jehovah Rapha - Healing From Sin

He said, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your Healer.

Sunday Sermon: A Victorious Past

A Victorious Past

For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
— 2 Timothy 4:6-8 (ESV)
